🪸♾️ “ The Coral Restoration Paradox: “Successful or not? How can we measure and maximize the impact of our interventions” ⚠️🌀
Over the past decades, coral reef decline has accelerated alongside coral restoration efforts. For years, coral restoration practitioners have focused their attention on developing and scaling-up technologies to deliver outcomes at relevant spatial scales. While the advance in this field is undisputable, more attention is needed to understand how we measure the impact of restoration projects. Furthermore, strategies to avoid the paradox are needed. This webinar will present a framework to report the impact of restoration projects with ecologically meaningful metrics beyond traditional ones and address the concept of the donor paradox and provide a pathway donor to avoid it.
