The Caribbean Biological Corridor (CBC) is participating today in the 1st National Oceans Forum of the Dominican Republic, a dialogue space that brings together national and international institutions to reflect on the main challenges and opportunities for the conservation and sustainable management of marine ecosystems.
We are proud to be part of this important event, alongside the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), as a collaborating organization.
As part of the agenda, we took part in the panel “Ocean governance and the Dominican Republic’s participation in regional and global platforms”, where the main threats facing marine biodiversity were addressed, as well as the policies and cooperation mechanisms that promote its conservation both in the Dominican Republic and at the regional level through the experience of the Caribbean Biological Corridor.
